Since becoming your Governor, I have heard in every corner of Nebraska that property taxes are a serious problem. Property owners are being taxed out of their homes. The system has become so out of balance that nearly everyone feels the impact.
I need to hear directly from you. I want to hear your story.
We must show the Legislature that this is a crisis-a crisis that demands action and a real solution. Together, we can build the case for meaningful property tax relief for Nebraskans.

Property Taxes
Property taxes are - our - your - my - number one issue, that needs to be fixed.
While property taxes are local and pay for city, county, and schools, they are not collected or assessed by the state. As your governor we have made progress but certainly have not solved it.
Despite our work, local spending and property tax collections have continued to increase and have outpaced our work in relief.
I need your help now!!
I need to hear your story. Members of the Legislature do not take this issue seriously enough to vote to fix it.
I need your help to ensure that all Legislative members understand how important this issue is to you so we can work together to solve this crisis.
